I first met Keira when she came to Murphy's in 2002. Spunky, Sassy and maybe a reckless. She was a beautiful little mare and had amazing speed. But she wasn't what her owners were looking for and she was sold. Never seeing her again.
Fate had other plans. I was working at Greenhawk Harness and Equestrian Supplies when a couple walked in wanting a halter for their horse. The woman said, "Her head is this size, looks about this big and she an Anglo-Arab."
I love talking to people about their horses and this one was so close to Keira in the way that she was decribing her I had to inquire,"Her name wouldn't be Keira...would it?"
They were both floored, "HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT?!"
It was just a guess, just a feeling. Something like a little push in the right direction.
I may have lost contact with that little mare for now, but because of he I gained two of the most wonderful and caring friends anyone could have asked for.
The three of you are always in my thoughts, heart and prayers.
